Things have been progressing rapidly. After 2.5 years of development on our technology, we will soon be delivering the first product fully based on Logos3D. This product, the ‘Shooter Project’, was developed in collaboration with the CAMeRA department of the VU University of Amsterdam. The Shooter-project will be presented at the CAMeRA Research Day on the 19^th of March, in front of an audience of researchers from all over the VU University.

What is the CAMeRA?

The CAMeRA is a cross-faculty research institution at the VU University of Amsterdam. The CAMeRA (Center for Advanced Media Research Amsterdam), supports research in a variety of fields with cutting-edge multimedia technology. Logos3D award winner at New Venture

On June 25^th, IC3D Media was ranked amongst the top 5 start-ups in the Netherlands of 2008-2009 by New Venture. New Venture is a business plan competition founded by the Dutch government and McKinsey & company to help innovative start-ups. This year’s New Venture had a record number of entries with over 400 business ideas and 135 business plans being submitted. These were judged by a large jury consisting of corporate leaders, entrepreneurs and investors. With great entries and fierce competion, we are incredibly honored to be amongst the winners.

At the award-ceremony, Loren gave a short talk about the impact that Logos3D has on the production process of games, and the ability to deliver games quickly via the internet. Judging by the response, what we had to say really resonated with the audience. The event itself was really worthwhile, with many young entrepreneurs who are working on inspiring projects.

Logos3D wins “Entrepreneurship Award”

On June 4th, Logos3D was selected as the winner of the Entrepreneurship Award 2008-2009 at Lund University. The award was based on an evaluation of the business plans in the Master Programme of Entrepreneurship by a professional jury. We are really overwhelmed with the award, and I am confident that it will contribute to the progress on Logos3D!

Logos3D winner at Venture Cup

This month (April 28^th) Logos3D was awarded with the second prize for students in the Venture Cup Contest (Southern Region) in Sweden. The prize was handed out at the Ingvar Kamprad Design Center (IKDC) in Lund. Venture Cup is a business plan competition with the objective of stimulating Entrepreneurship in Sweden. Because I was a student at the Entrepreneurship Programme at Lund University (Southern part of Sweden), we were allowed to enter this contest with our Logos3D project.

After a period of behind the scenes development we are slowly bringing the www.logos3d.com website online. This site and web log will be dedicated to 3D graphics, game development and the continued development of Logos3D. Logos 3D is a unique software package for creating videogames, simulations and Virtual Reality environments.

Besides basic articles featuring the recent developments of our technology, readers of the web-log will find news posts and articles about 3D graphics in general, and their applications in and outside of the games industry. Stay posted over the next few months as we unveil more content!
